Scheduled Itinerary for 9 Day China Tour:
Day 01 – San Francisco – Shanghai
Depart San Francisco for a pleasant non-stop flight via United Airlines or Air China.
Day 02 – Shanghai
Upon arrival, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to Ramada Plaza Gateway. The rest of the day is free to relax.
Day 03 – Shanghai – Wuxi
Transfer to Wuxi. Visit the Liyuan Garden and Taihu Lake Scenic Area. Taihu Lake-the third largest fresh water lake in China, is commonly believed to be the soul of the natural scenery and cultural relics in Wuxi. Liyuan Garden not only has the lingering charm of Chinese gardens, but also includes the exotic atmosphere of Western architectures. Both blend harmoniously together. Continue to Xihui Park and Jichang Park. Xihui Park is a big scenic area gathered hills and forests, cultural relics and comfortable leisure and amusement. Jichang Park is a representative Southern Garden with overlapping rockeries, lakes and pagodas. Later appreciate the Pearl Center and Tea Pot Factory. Stay at Ramada Wuxi Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 04 – Wuxi – Nanjing
Transfer to Nanjing after breakfast. Visit Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum,which is considered the Holy land of Chinese people both home and abroad. Continue to City Wall, the largest existing ancient city wall in China. Passing Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge-the third bridge built to span the Yangtze River after the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and the Baishatuo Yangtze River Bridge (in Chongqing City). After that, go to visit Confucius Temple Bazaar and the Jade Store. The area around the temple consists of a series of tourist shops, snack bars, restaurants and tea cafes. They all appear to be in the architectural style of the Ming and Qing style. Stay at Dingye Hotel or Jade Palace Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 05 – Nanjing – Suzhou
Transfer to Shantangjie after breakfast. Have a cruise at Shantangjie Water Town, which was famous for Venice in Orient. After that, go to Hanshan Temple.It is not only a charming historic temple, but a place of deep cultural resonance for people not only in China, but throughout Asia and especially in Japan. Later continue to Panmen Gate,a famous historical landmark in Suzhou, China. It is the only well preserved water-and-land city gate in the world now. Then move to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Golden Cock Lake Scenic Area-Suzhou newly developed zone. Later go to visit Yuanrong Time Square, a large-scale, comprehensive, modern, high-quality “commercial syntheses”, where you can see the 500 meters long LED marquee screen which is the longest in the world. After that, move to enjoy the Silk Fashion Show. Stay at Suyuan Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 06 – Suzhou – Hangzhou
After breakfast, transfer to Hangzhou by bus. Take painted boat on West Lake-the most famous attraction in Hangzhou. West Lake is man-made and created after the Chinese love for garden style parks for recreation. Then visit Meijiawu Tea Plantation. Continue to enjoy Fish Wonder at Huagang Crook. And then pay a visit to Jingci Temple. During the tour, go to visit Jewel Store to enjoy the beautiful jewels of Jiangnan. After dinner, enjoy the wonderful show–Night of West Lake (specified item, self-financed). Stay at West Lake Golden Plaza Hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 07 – Hangzhou – Shanghai
Take a bus to Shanghai. Visit the City God Temple Bazaar, which is composed of specialty stores selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts, medicine and souvenirs. Later appreciating scenery at Pudong newly developed zone, which now has transformed into the fastest developed international economic area in China with looming skyscrapers and hi-tech international enterprises. Then go to see the Honey Products Store. Continue to outside view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, the modern symbol of Shanghai City. It is the tallest TV tower in Asia. After that, free shopping at Nanjing Road, the main shopping street of Shanghai, China, and is one of the world’s busiest shopping streets. After dinner, take a cruise on the Huangpu River (specified item, self-financed). Stay at Ramada Plaza Gateway. (B, L, D)
Day 08 – Shanghai
Free day for leisure or optional tour to Zhouzhuang. Zhouzhuang is well known for its beautiful environment and simple architecture. Although more than 900 years have past, its architectural style is still well preserved. More than 60 percent of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, consisting of nearly 100 classic courtyards and 60 carved brick archways. Lunch is included with the tour.
Day 09 – Shanghai – San Francisco
After breakfast transfer to the airport and bring with you sweet memories and enjoyable moments of your tour to share with family and friends. (B)
