Scheduled Itinerary for Sunlight’s Korea & China Fantasia Tours:
Day 1 – USA ~ Seoul, Korea
Depart from your hometown to Seoul, Korea.
Day 2 – Seoul
Arrive in Seoul where you will be greeted by our tour guide. Transfer to Inter Continental Hotel (5-star) or same class hotel. (D)
Day 3 – Seoul
Learn about the deeper aspects of Korean culture with a visit to the Korean Folk Village. This 243 acre site contains over 260 traditional houses, cultural items, a Folk Museum, and an Art Museum. This village was also a filming location for the famous movie, Scandal, and popular drama-series, Daejanggeum. Proceed to visit the Jogyesa Temple, The Face Shop, and Cheonggye Cheon Stream. Go on a shopping spree at Korea’s largest shopping district, Dongdaemun Market if time allow, visit Imjingak Park and see its statues and monuments about the historical Korean War. Proceed to visit the Freedom Bridge, Infiltration Tunnel, Dora Observatory, and Unification Village. (B,L D.)
Day 4 – Seoul
Continue your tour and visit the historic Gyeongbok Palace. This 14th century construction is considered as the largest and most beautiful palace in the country. Visit the Folk Museum and see an impressive collection of Korean artifacts. See the South Korean President’s residence, the Blue House. Learn how to make Kimchi and wear traditional Korean costume at the Korean Traditional Center. Continue on for a chance to shop for great souvenirs at the Ginseng Shop, Amethyst Factory, and Insadong Antique Shop Alley. In the evening, delight yourself as you watch the spectacular Traditional Korean Cultural and Dance show at the Chongdong Theater. (B.L.D.)
Day 5 – Seoul – Harbin, China
Morning flight to Harbin-the capital of Heilongjiang Province in China’s northeast region. Harbin sits in the heart of the famous Manchurian Plain-China’s largest wheat and corn producing area and one of the most extensive plains in the world. Upon arrival, transfer to Shangri-la Hotel. After lunch, we will visit Sofia Church–the biggest Orthodox church in the Far East. Typical Byzantine architecture with magnificent exterior. Then walk along Zhongyang Street–each built in a European style have the effect of bringing you into an ‘eastern Moscow’. Even though you are sure to be attracted by various exotic buildings, the Dragon Tower which embodies the wisdom of the Chinese people is a must on your journey. (B.L.D)
Day 6 – Harbin.
After breakfast, visit the famous Sun Island Park is the site of the Ice Sculpture Exposition displaying a wonderful snow world. It has the world’s largest indoor ice and snow art museum, afterward we continue to Siberian Tiger Park afterwards. Caged in the special coach, we can watch the tigers while driving in the park and the local Market. (B.L.D)
Day 7 – Harbin – Beijing
Late morning flight to Beijing-the capital of China, upon arrival, visit the famous Olympic stadium “Bird’s Nest”; “Water Cube” and Opera House before transfer to the Capital Hotel for rest. Peking Duck dinner in the evening. (B.L.D.)
Day 8 – Beijing
Morning tour of Hutong-surrounded by ancient Palaces, Temples, Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Shihai Lake area is the most beautiful among hundreds of historical scenic spot in old Beijing. After lunch, free time for leisure or you can walk the famous old town in Wangfujing area which is also where the night market & the food market located. Dinner on you own. (B.L.)

Day 10 – Beijing – Chengde
Take the deluxe Motor coach (approv. 3-4 hours with stop at some sightseeing) through the countryside from Beijing to Chengde. Upon arrival, visit the Summer Palace Check in Yunshan Hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 11 – Chengde
Visit Putuozongcheng Lama Temple(the mini Potala Palace) and Puning Temple. after lunch, visit the local family and market. (B.L.D.)
Day 12 – Chengde – Beijing – Datong

Day 13 – Datong – Wutaishan
Half an hour drive to Yungang Grottoes then drive through the countryside to Wutaishan and visit the Hanging Monastery and Yingxian Woodern Pagoda on the way to Wutaishan (Mt. Wutai). Check-in Flower Hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 14 – Wutaishan (Mt. Wutai)
Today visit several Temples-such as Pusa Ding Temple-Two Qing emperors of China made Pusa Ding Temple their residence during official pilgrimages to Mt.Wutai and Dailuoding Temple(by cable-car) etc. (B.L.D.)
Day 15 – Wutaishan – Taiyuan
5 Hour drive to Taiyuan. After lunch, we have a short tour of Taiyuan then check in Taiyuan International Trade Hotel for rest. (B.L.D.)
Day 16 – Taiyuan – Zhengzhou – Luoyang
Noon flight to Zhengzhou, upon arrival, we will have short sightseeing tour before we take 2.5 hours ride to Luoyang-the capital of ancient China At its height under the Sui Dynasty(581-618), it was said to have had one million inhabitants and is situated in the Henam Province. Stay overnight at the Luoyan Yaxiang Jinling Hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 17 – Luoyang
Morning visit of Longmen Grottoes, one of the three stone art treasure house of China with 100,000 Buddha statues of which the tiniest statues are only 2 centimeters each, while the maximum is 17.14 meters. One can appreciate the different styles of stone art of various dynasties. En-route visit White Horse Temple, the earliest Buddhist temple ever built in China. (B.L.D.)
Day 18 – Dengfeng – Zhengzhou
Coach to Dengfeng, Visit Shaolin Temple, the world famous temple for Kungfu, Enjoy Kungfu demonstration. One will be surprised how charming the show is. Visit Pagoda Forest- is the holy graveyard where the abbots and eminent monks are buried. Coach to Zhengzhou. Check in Zhengzhou Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza Hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 19 – Zhengzhou – Chongqing.

Day 20 – Chongqing/Yangtze River
Today, start your scenic Yangtze Cruise from Chongqing along the Upper Reaches. Here the water-way is more calm and the shore line is less rugged. Along the way, you’ll pass the ancient town of Fuling – Apolitical center of the Kingdom of Ba (fourth to second centuries BC) and take a shore excursion to the ‘City of Ghost’. Fengdu with landmarks such as Ghost torturing pass. Last glance at Home Tower, Nothing -to-be done Bridge, etc…(B/L/D)
Day 21 – Yangtze River: Wushan / Wu Gorge/Xiling Gorge/Qutang Gorge
Save your breath today when you Cruise down the highlight of the Day tour. The magnificent Three Gorges with spectacular cliff walls and dramatic vistas. You’ll also visit the Three ‘small’ Gorge-the natural habitat of the Mandarin Duck and Golden Hair Monkeys. (B/L/D)
Day 22 – Yangtze River end in Yichang/Shanghai
This morning, you will pass the famous Gezhouba Dam and disembark in Yichang. Upon ashore, immediately visit the Dam site. After late lunch departs for Shanghai-the fifth largest city in the world is one of the China’s most cosmopolitan areas.
