Day 1 : San Francisco – Hong Kong
Depart San Francisco of a pleasant flight to Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific Airways or United Airlines.
Day 2 : Hong Kong – Hanoi
Arrive Hanoi in the late morning via Hong Kong to begin your experience by traveling to the 4,000-year old culture of once-isolated Vietnam. Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Its unique Ancient Architecture, Picturesque Parks and Lake, Narrow Street, traditional Handicrafts and Museums make it an interesting city for all travelers. Upon arrival, followed by city tour of History Museum, Temple of Literature ?the first university built in 1076 in Vietnam, One-pillared Pagoda, Sword-restored Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Evening: Dinner with Vietnamese food served at local restaurant. Then, enjoying a water-puppet show, a unique art form of Vietnam, depicting peasant life and legendary stories. You will be amazed when seeing the puppets manipulated by the puppet masters who immerse themselves in the water behind a screen. Day 3 : Hanoi – Halong Bay
You will spend the morning visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Museum of Fine Arts and Quan Thanh Temple. Lunch served at local restaurant. Afternoon, you will be driven to Ha Long Bay, which is one of the most magnificent scenic spots in all of Vietnam and was designated by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage in 1994. It is a picturesque bay with some 775 islets rising from the clear emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. Washed by water and lapped by waves for hundreds of thousands of years, the limestone basin has been carved into stalactites caves, Crescent beaches and odd-shaped formations. Day 4 : Halong Bay – Hanoi
Today you will cruise on Halong Bay (5 hours) to enjoy breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, picturesque limestone formations, wondrous caves of all sizes and shapes, quiet lagoons and relax on crescent sandy breaches. Seafood lunch will be served on board before return to Hanoi. Dinner served at hotel restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi Hilton Hotel or same class hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 5 : Hanoi – Hue
Breakfast in the hotel. You are at leisure until transferred to the airport for flight to Hue by VN #247 (1210-1310). Arrival in Hue, recognized as the world cultural heritage and used to be the ancient capital of the last dynasty of Nguyen Emperors from 1802-1945. Transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch served at local restaurant. Afternoon, you will visit Imperial Citadel, including Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, The Mieu Temple, and the Nine Dynastic Urns, and Museum of Royal Relics. Then, you continue visiting mausoleum of King Khai Dinh and take one-hour boat ride on Perfume River. Dinner served at hotel restaurant. Stay overnight at 4-star Hotel Morin or Century Hotel in Hue. Day 6 : Hue – Da Nang
You will have a land trip to Da Nang with stopovers at Lang Co lagoon and the top of Hai Van Winding mountain pass for rest and taking picture. Lunch served at local restaurant. Day 7 : Da Nang – Hoi An – Da Nang
Your whole day sightseeing will commence with a visit to the Museum of Cham Sculpture to view a fine collection some 300 sandstone sculptures of gods, beasts and celestial dancing girls of exquisite beauty ?created between the 7th and 15th centuries. Then, transfer to Hoi An, known as Faifo to early Western traders and recognized as a World Cultural Heritage. Hoi An used to be a vital commercial seaport in South East Asia from the 16th to the 19th centuries. It is a nick walk around this lovely and relaxed town of Hoi An to visit a number of centuries-old temples, pagodas, meeting halls, markets remained in near perfection today. Lunch served at local restaurant. Visit to a marble stone-carving village before returning to hotel. The remainder of the day is for your leisure on the beach. Dinner served at hotel restaurant. Day 8 : Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to airport heading for to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon, graced with broad Avenues, shopping arcades and historical attractions. Visits to Nortre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. After hotel check-in, you will have lunch at a local restaurant. Your sightseeing tour continues with visits to Former Presidential Palace, Thien Hau Temple, Binh Tay Market and lacquer workshop. Day 9 : Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh City
A two-hour drive through fertile paddy fields from Ho Chi Minh City takes you to My Tho, the first bustling town of Mekong Delta. Enjoying a boat ride on the Mekong River to an orchard islet where almost tropical fruit of southern Vietnam can be found and tasted. Following is a sampan ride on water-coconut shaded creeks for visitors pleasure. Lunch with fried elephant-ear fish, a Vietnamese specialty food served at a local restaurant. Day 10 : Ho Chi Minh City – Siem Reap
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for morning flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check-in Sofitel Royal Angkor Hotel, then you will start the sightseeing tour with visit to The South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous Bayon, Baphoun Temples, Terrace of Elephants and Leper King, Preah Palilay, Phimean Akas Temples. Day 11 : Siem Reap – Phnom Penh
Breakfast at hotel. You will visit Pre Rup, Banteay Samre, Neak Poan and Famous Preah Khan Temple. After lunch, explore the World Wonder of Angkor Wat with its finest examples of Buddhist and Hindu statues and engravings. Its magnificent five towers in the shape of a lotus bud rise majestically, and are used as an emblem in the Cambodian flag. Lunch served at local restaurant. Day 12 : Phnom Penh – Hong Kong
