Day 01 – San Francisco/Tel Aviv
Today you board a magnificent 747 Jumbo jetliner for your journey to Tel Aviv via Continental Airlines.
Day 02 – Tel Aviv
Arrive Tel Aviv and transfer to you beautiful hotel, which is centrally located near the heart of Tel Aviv, Oveiioking the Tel Aviv Marina. Also is a perfect place to relax and prepare for the experience of lifetime. Dinner in the hotel.(D)
Day 03 – Tel Aviv/Tiberias
Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Morning drive to ruins of the ancient Roman city of Caesarea, once the RomaitCapital of Palestine. Visit the Theater and the Aqueduct. Continue to Mt. Carmel and the Carmelite Monastery of Muhraka, where Elijah fought against the gods of Ba’al. Then on to the city of Haifa, enjoy the panoramic views of the lar port of Israel. Drive to the Lower Galilee region through Kana to Nazareth. Visit the Church of the Annunciation.Thn on to Megiddo to see the site of Armageddon, King Solomon’s Stables and walk the watersystem. Drive across tljaGálilee to the shores of the Sea of Galilee to Tiberias for dinner and overnight at the Caesar which is a 5 star hotVloted in downtown Tiberias. (B/D)
Day 04 – Tiberias
Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Take private boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and arrive in Kibbutz Genbsai Viit the fisherman’s boat found in 1986, dated back to the days of Jesus. Continue to Capernaum for a visit toPetthI4ouse. Next to the Mt. Of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on Mount took place, Tabga and the church of the Multiplication. Drive along the West bank of the Sea of Galilee and stop at Kursi. See the ruins of the Byzantine Church. Return to the Tiberias for dinner and overnight at the Caesar Hotel. (B/D)
Day 05 – Tiberias/Amman
After Breakfast in the hotel. Cross to Jordan throught the Northern cross and meet your local guide in Jordan and then drive to the Roman city of Jerach. Drive to Jerash – city of the Decapolis, located about 45 km. North of Amman in the ferile heights of Gilead. Visit the ancient Roman City with streets lined with columns, the ancient theater, the baths and the hill top temple, the triumphal arch, etc. Continue to Ajlon to see the 12th century Saracen Castle built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the campaign against the Crusaders. Continue to Um Oasis, Gadera of the Bible, for a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee, the Yarmouk River and the Golan Heights. Arrive to Amman for dinner and overnight at Hotel Le Meridian, is a 5 star hotel, located in the heart of Jordan’s capital city. (B/D)
Day 06 – Amman/Petra
Breakfast in the hotel. Take a ride to Bethany behind the Jordan and see this newly open site identified as the site where Elijah went to heaven in a Chariot of fire.Drive to M. Nebo where Moses died after seeing the Promised Land. Then on to Madaba, to see the ancient floor mosaic from the 5th century describing a map of the world and Jerusalem in the center. We drive along the Desert Hightway and visit Kerak – a walled Crusader Town. Continue to Petra for dinner and overnight at the Petra Plaza which is a 4-5 star hotel, built in a “Greco roman style” it has great balconies and patios. (B/D)
Day 07 – Petra/Dead Sea
Breakfast in the hotel. Today visit Petra. the famous Nabatean “Pink” city which served as a treading center and was lost for years in the craggy mountains. Take a horseback ride down through the narrow cleft the Siq) which winds its way towards the entrance of the city. See the Treasury. the Monastery and the Amphitheater. among other spectacular sites of Petra. Then drive to the Arava Crossing. where President clinton witnessed the signing of the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan. Cross back to Israel and meet back your Israel local n guide and then drive to the lowest point on earth: the Dead Sea. Arrive at the Dead Sea Resort for dinner and overnight at Hotel Caesar Premier, is the Dead Sea’s newest deluxe hotel. Opened in October 1997. (B/D)
Day 08 – Dead Sea/Jerusalem
Breakfast in the hotel. Free morning to enjoy the Dead Sea and its minerals, or use the SPA at the hotel. At 11:30 a.m. leave for Masada. Take the cable car to the top of the rock and visit the Roman Palaces. Store Houses, Synagoues and Bath House, which witnessed the Jewish resistance to the Romans approximately 2000 year ago. Descend by cable car and drive to the Judean Hills, to the most beautiful city in the world, Jerusalem. for dinner and overnight at the Novotel hotel, which is a newest hotel to be open in January 2000. It is located near Garden Tomb, within walking distance to the Old City. (B/D)
Day 09 – Jerusalem
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning take you to Mt. Zion and visit David’s Tomb and the last Supper room. Enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and start a walking tour of the Old City in the Jewish quarter. See the Burnt House and the Herodian Quarter, being a very strong reminder of the Roman conquest and destruction of the Second Temple. Then visit the Temple Institute and see first hand how some Jews are preparing for the construction of the Third Temple. Walk down the stairs to the Western Wall, the holiest site for Judaism, being the only remain of the Second Temple. Visit the Wall Excavations, visited by few people every year. Visit the “Temple Steps” a unique archeological area, with the original steps that led to the entrance of the Temple 2000 year ago. Continue to the Dome of the Rock, one of the most beautiful mosques in the World, located over the site of King Solomon’s Temple. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Day 10 – Jerusalem
Breakfast in the hotel. Drive to the Mt. Of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Church of Pater Noster, Our Father, and the Church of the Ascension. Walk down the Mt. Of Olives and see the site where Jesus predicted the future destruction of Jerusalem (Dominus Flevit), and then on to the Church and Gardens of Getsemani. Drive to Chaiphas House and see the dungeon where Jesus was held before his trial. Enter the Old City through St. Stephen’s Gate to the Christan quarter and visit the Pool of Bethesda. St. Anna Church, the Lithostrothos at the Ecce Hommo arch. Start walking the Way of the Cross to the Holy Sepulchre Church. Drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity. Special time for shopping in one of the Bethlehem’s best Souvenir shops. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Day 11 – Jerusalem
Breakfast in the hotel. Plant a tree in a forest in Jerusalem for the glory of the Lord in his Promised Land. Continue to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial for a visit. Drive to Em Karem for a visit to the Church of St. John the Baptist. Then stop at the Biblical Resource Instiute and enjoy a visit to the life in the first century with a reenactment Seder Meal (the Last Supper). Then on to the Shrine of the Book to see the exhibition of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Visit the Holyland Hotel and see a model of Jerusalem in the days of Jesus. Special time for Service and meditation. Return to the hotel for a farewell dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Day 12 – Jerusalem/San Francisco
After Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Re-collectyour beautiful memory of the Holyland and depart for pleasant nonsmoking flight back to San Francisco via Continental Airlines. (B)
